Elementary Program (K – 8th Grade)

The Montessori lower elementary program balances the child’s developing imagination and powers of abstraction with down-to-earth, concrete, hands-on materials. The elementary curriculum encompasses the full mastery of basic skills and promotes independent thinking and creativity. Montessori imparts valuable life lessons, such as how to work well with others, peaceful conflict resolution, teaching and leading others, service to the community, and social responsibility.

Montessori elementary is also based on multi-age groupings, providing children with opportunities for broad social development, and a profound sense of belonging. The multi-age groupings enhance learning and maximize the potential of each child in an environment that has a place for everyone.
